Adrienne Anna Garza, age 26, killed by suspected drunk driver in Edinburg. The Edinburg Police Department arrested Juan Pablo Torres for driving while intoxicated. Charges may later include intoxication manslaughter for the death of Adrienne Anna Garza. The crash happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. when the bars closed. The crash happened at the intersection of Trenton Road and Closner Boulevard in Edinburg. Torres was reportedly driving a white truck when he ran a red light and hit Garza. Garza's passenger was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a commercial truck crash near Eagle Pass which took the lives of five family members. The crash happened May 28, 2024 and is still under investigation. The Fed Ex truck driver was hospitalized with injuries but survived. Toxicology tests may show whether he was impaired. It remains unknown why he was driving the wrong way.
