Kyle Police are investigating a fatal crash on I-35 which claimed the life of Flavia Arzate Gomez. The crash happened around 2:00 a.m. when Gabriella Saurette crashed into Gomez who had pulled to the side of the road to adjust a tarp on her vehicle. Saurette reportedly told police that she had been drinking alcohol on 6th Street in Austin before the collision. It is illegal for bars to serve alcohol to a person to the point of intoxication. It is unknown at this time what Saurette's blood alcohol level was at the time of the crash. If you or a loved one have been the victim of drunk driving, do not give the bars a free pass.
