A Port Aransas man was arrested for intoxication manslaughter after crashing his truck into a golf cart on May 10, 2025. The Nueces County Sheriff's Office arrested George Baermann for intoxication manslaughter after he failed a field sobriety test. Results from a blood test are pending. Baermann reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol at a bar and had trouble walking. Heather Miller was driving the golf cart and died as a result of the crash.
