On August 26, 2023 about 4:30 a.m., a wrong way driver on the North Dallas Tollway hit and killed a Houston man identified as Jorrick Battle. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Battle was driving a Ford F-150 in the proper lane of travel, when a wrong way driver struck and killed him.
