Carmen Guevara arrested for intoxication manslaughter.
On May 19, 2024, Roman Perez and Rosi Perez were killed on a motorcycle when a truck driven by Carmen Guevara reportedly failed to yield and turned right into them. Corpus Christi police arrested Guevara for two counts of intoxication manslaughter. A candlelight vigil is being held tonight on Airline Road near South Padre Island Drive where the crash happened. Guevara remains jailed on $1 million bond. The victims were described as dedicated parents who had just hosted a birthday party for their kids. Both were in their early thirties.
