Alva Aida Razo killed by alleged drunk driver in El Paso.

On July 22, 2023, Alva Aida Razo was killed in a crash caused by an alleged drunk driver in El Paso. Jorge Salinas Escajeda was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.  Alva Aida Razo appeared to be minding her own business, stopped in a line of cars for a red light at 4800 North Desert Blvd. and 7600 North Mesa.  Other cars were damaged and other people reported injuries.  Alva Aida Razo was taken to University Medical Center where she later died.  Escajeda admitted to drinking and driving and even attempted to walk away from the crash site. Witnesses stopped him from leaving. El Paso Police Department's DWI task force made the arrest.  Luckily, a responsible bond of $1.2 million was issued for Escajeda before he can get out of jail.
