Angela Mia Villareal received probation for killing Augustin Molina Uribe in a drunk driving crash. Villareal was reportedly driving 111 miles per hour when she crashed into Uribe. Villareal was reportedly more than twice the legal limit of alcohol. Villareal received probation from Judge Mario Ramirez on September 29, 2023. Villareal had two local judges write letters on her behalf in support of probation. Fernando Macias and Rodolfo Gonzalez appeared in favor of her lenient probation. Villareal reportedly missed or failed several alcohol tests before her sentencing. Uribe reportedly burned to death after his vehicle ignited upon impact. Because of lenient sentences like this one for Villareal, the Texas Legislature needs to reconsider lengthy mandatory prison sentences for intoxication manslaughter.
