Double fatality caused by wrong-way driver in Baylor County, Texas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a double fatality crash near Seymour, Texas which happened on December 4, 2023 about 6:20 p.m. The crash happened on Highway 82 about four miles west of Seymour. The DPS indicated a pickup driven by Tanner Gillespie was on the wrong side of the road and crashed into a Prius driven by Anthony Rodriguez of Lubbock. Both Anthony Rodriguez and his passenger Kimberly Perez died in the crash. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a commercial truck crash near Eagle Pass which took the lives of five family members. The crash happened May 28, 2024 and is still under investigation. The Fed Ex truck driver was hospitalized with injuries but survived. Toxicology tests may show whether he was impaired. It remains unknown why he was driving the wrong way.
