18-wheeler crash claims life of Cinthya Guerrero near Friona, Texas.
On December 8, 2023, an 18-wheeler failed to yield the right of way and crashed into Cinthya Guerrero. The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the crash which happened about 6:50 a.m. near Friona. The crash happened on US 60 and County Road 17. Texas Highway Patrol is also investigating. Cinthya Guerrero was only thirty years old. The 1999 Peterbilt truck tractor was driven by a man from Clovis, New Mexico. No charges have been filed at this time. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a commercial truck crash near Eagle Pass which took the lives of five family members. The crash happened May 28, 2024 and is still under investigation. The Fed Ex truck driver was hospitalized with injuries but survived. Toxicology tests may show whether he was impaired. It remains unknown why he was driving the wrong way.
