A crash in Pharr took the life of Roel Solis yesterday around midnight.
Roel Solis was a correctional officer at Willacy County State Jail in Raymondville who was killed in a late-night crash in Pharr. His driver, Yozmara Garcia, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter. Garcia reportedly failed to yield as she exited the Monarch apartments in the 700 block of Nolana Avenue.
