Samuel Todd Oatman was traveling north on SH 19 about 4 miles from Canton, Texas when he was hit from behind by a SUV. The impact pushed him into a ditch causing fatal injuries. Oatman's passenger, Brittany Dawn Hunt, was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating. No charges have been filed at this point.
