A late-night hit and run crash kills Sebastian Leith in Beaumont.
The Beaumont Police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash which killed Sebastian Leith on August 12, 2023, about 1:45 a.m. The crash occurred at Phelan Blvd. and Calder Ave. as a gold SUV failed to yield the right of way and turned left into Leith's car. The SUV fled the scene, possibly due to intoxication. That driver later showed up and gave a statement. Beaumont Police say that charges are pending. The driver was not yet identified.
