On February 8, 2024, at about 4:30 a.m., a San Antonio crash took the life of Wendy Weddel. Giovanna Blangiardo was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. Blangiardo was allegedly driving on the wrong side of Pontranco Road in San Antonio when she crashed head-on into Weddell's vehicle. Blangiardo is jailed on a $250,000.00 bond according to Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
