Arianna Kopecky was arrested by Galveston Police Department for intoxication manslaughter.
Kopecky was allegedly driving while intoxicated when she hit a pedestrian on Seawall Boulevard. Kopecky allegedly fled the scene but was later captured. Kopecky is a 23-year-old from Galveston. The crash happened on October 26, 2023, at about 9:20 p.m. The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released.
