Cynthia Boone and Miraj Parson killed in 18-wheeler crash.
On Friday night, May 31, 2024, an 18-wheeler reportedly failed to yield the right of way and crushed a sedan driven by Cynthia Boone and occupied by Miraj Parson. Both were killed in the crash which happened on East Oltorf Street about 9:18 p.m. Two other passengers were injured but survived. The 18-wheeler was reportedly a HEB delivery truck. No indication whether fatigue was a factor.
At 1:45 a.m. a pedestrian reportedly left Cowboys Dancehall and attempted to cross Loop 410 when he was struck by a sus[ected drunk driver.
