Stefan Bailey and Walter McMahon were struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver named Leon Sams. According to KTRK, Sams is charged with DWI. A third pedestrian, Kimberly Heath, was also struck and injured while walking from a bus stop. The deadly crash occurred on May 19, 2023 on Rankin Road, west of I-45.
